Brownstone Security is proud to announce that the 40-hour Basic Security Officer Training Course (BSOTC) is now offered through our online training platform. This course includes training in subjects such as:               

• Authority of a Security Officer

• Trespass Law

• Fire Safety

• Management of Aggressive Behavior

• Use of Force

• Chemical Weapons Training

• Terrorism Training

• And Much More

Upon completion of the class, security officers will receive:

•  Certificate of Completion

• CPR/First Aid Certification

• Mace/Chemical Weapons Certification

 All current security officers who have not previously completed the BSOTC are eligible to take the class for free after 30 days of employment. Most opportunities for advancement in Brownstone Security require the completion of this class.  All security officers are encouraged to take the class as soon as eligible.  Security officers are required to take and COMPLETE the course within 120 days of employment.  The following applies to all current employees of Brownstone Security who have not completed the BSOTC:

Required Course - This course must be completed by all current officers by March 1, 2010. All current employees must register and begin the course January 1, 2010.

Registration - You may obtain a registration form at any branch office or you may request it to be mailed. Upon acceptance you will be issued credentials in order to log on and take the course.

Computers - You may schedule time to use an office computer on a first-come, first-serve basis. Contact your local office to schedule this time. You may take this course from anywhere with Internet access.

First Aid/CPR - This portion must be taken on-site. You will be provided with a schedule of times for certification upon registration.

Removal from course - Anyone who quits their employment or is terminated will be removed from class immediately. You may finish the course by paying the standard enrollment fee.

This is a great opportunity for all employees to increase their knowledge of security duties and responsibilities and to receive multiple certifications.  We look forward to helping you all increase your knowledge and professionalism.
